Kelle Earnheart/Cancan Reyvolution Win Again

Riding fifth to the herd in the second bunch of the 21-horse, 2011 NCHA Non Pro Derby final, Kelle Earnheart and Cancan Reyvolution raised the roof with a blistering 225-point run that earned them $14,990 and the title.
“He’s a seriously talented horse. With all the stop and draw that he has there’s not another horse that feels like that,” Earnheart said. “He was the best he’s been all week and we had the perfect draw. Clint Allen and Bill Riddle watched cattle for me and right before I went down there, Clint recommended I didn’t cut any colored cattle so we cut all blacks and I couldn’t ask for better results.”

On Thursday night, Earnheart and Cancan Reyvolution (Dual Rey x Cancan Kitty x High Brow Cat) were Co-Champions in the gelding class to take home a purse totaling $19,968 from the show.

Cancan Reyvolution and Earnheart, Weatherford, Texas, had prior earnings of $97,702 including titles at the Tunica Futurity and the Bonanza Cutting Derby. They had also made the finals of April’s NCHA Super Stakes and December’s NCHA Futurity.

Earnheart, 26, now a career earner of nearly $1.1 million as a cutter, won her first NCHA Summer Spectacular Derby Non-Pro title in 2000 when she was 15 years old.

Reserve Champion Holly Francois, wife of Murchison, Texas trainer, Lee Francois, rode Dualsadie (Dual Pep x Smart Leatha x Smart Little Lena) to a 219 to earn $14,588.

“I never expected to progress this far. I haven’t shown many times in Will Rogers and that mare took care of me every run. It was awesome. There’s nothing like it,” Francois said. “We never really had a horse that I could compete on at this level and we got the opportunity to buy this mare. She’s turned out to be perfect.”

The same duo were also 4-Year-Old Non-Pro Reserve Champions at The Non-Pro Plus The Open in Oklahoma City in June. Francois had prior lifetime earnings of $34,086. Dualsadie had previously earned $15,511. She also made Open finals at the Abilene Spectacular and at the Bonanza Cutting with Lee Francois earlier this year.
